BASIC COMMUNICATION EXPLOITATION PACKAGE
- GSM, UMTS and LTE Theory – This will help the operator understand the cellular infrastructure so they will be able to manipulate system settings to optimise performance.
- Hardware Theory - Specifications and limitations of all hardware, antenna propagation paths and antenna selection for different operations.
- Hardware Practical – Hardware connection procedures.
- Software Theory – Explanation and navigation of all software menus, Settings, and Exploitation procedures.
- Software Practical – Complete operational set up procedures.
- DF Theory – Settings and use of handheld DF device.
- Operator Assessments – Each Operator will be assessed on Connection procedures, software settings, menu navigation and the ability to set up and conduct a basic exploitation operation.
- Conformation Exercise – To confirm all the training has been understood, the team will be given an operational exercise to complete, this will also include DF procedures.
ADVANCED TACTICAL EXPLOITATION PACKAGE (AFTER COMPLETION OF THE BASIC PACKAGE)
- Covert Deployment – Tactics and techniques to minimise the risk of compromise while conducting operations.
- Conventional Exploitation Operations – Techniques to identify an individual’s cellular device.
- Personal Communications Identification and Geo Location – Tactical DF procedure to covertly locate and identify a person of interest.
- Covert Use of Vehicle Chokepoints – The tactical use of chokepoints to enable identification of a person, or a vehicle of interest.
EOD OPERATOR
(EXPLOSIVES ORDNANCE DISPOSAL / IMPROVISED EXPLOSIVE DEVICE DISPOSAL)
Aimed at providing the necessary skills, attitude and knowledge to enable the students to undertake appropriate field operator duties to a safe and satisfactory conclusion. These courses are delivered in accordance with the relevant International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) for Level 2 Operations, and include:
